What I think about is our life together as like-minded people after the election , regardless of outcome. The other side has had 9 years of being in their cult. My new friends and I need book clubs, writing groups, economics and civics lessons together. It all matters as we realize this is about hearts and minds. We must not lose the communities of connection we’ve built over the past months!!
Our efforts do make a difference. I know that the Biden phone banking group was making millions of calls a day 4 years ago. If you make some very conservative calculations, it seems likely that we affected some tens of thousands of votes across the swing states. Given how close the last election was, this, combined with other efforts, could have been the thing that put Biden over the top.
The current phone banking effort made close to 10 million calls last weekend! Think about that. I’ve got to make my calls tonight.

Canvassing at voters' homes is a remarkable experience. The more you do it the more you want to do it; my lived experience since 1970 is proof.
