Speaking plainly is important, not using their language and checking disinformation critical-imagine a headline like the one you propose-won’t happen by corporate media but more ppl looking to independent writers-so well done
We cannot afford to look away or fail to resist. This is a golden opportunity to repair and restore our country. Whining won’t cut it. We must unite and take care of our people.
“Watch what they do, not what they say” is exactly what Heather Cox Richardson said yesterday in her Politics Chat ( live-streamed on Fb, with plans to move to YouTube.) This is heartening and practical advice that I will use. There is just so much noise this body can take. Signal is gold. Thanks, Anand.
I agree. I’m spending a ton on various newsletters, which are all great, but I wonder if we are creating another media silo which won’t reach Dems in Congress. I asked Jen Rubin of the Contrarian to invite Cory Booker for an interview. He is now head of Senate Communications but he also voted, along with everyone else, to elect professorial Schumer to be leader, AGAIN.
Anand, could you please invite Booker or Jeffries on and ask, what is their plan for opposing Trump? Challenging his (& Fox) lies? Controlling the narrative? Reaching people where they get their information?
This is the most useful column I've read in a long time; maybe ever. I shared it, posted it and clicked on all the links, sometimes signing up for stuff as a result. In short, I feel empowered, as in 'all fired up, ready to go." I've long thought, Anand, that you were one of the bravest truth tellers on television. Namaste, brother.
It's easy to avoid looking or worse, put our heads in the sand.
It's easy to try to over explain or even to think it will soon correct itself.
And it's easy to think that someone will save us.
Easy is what got us here.
And it's hard to take action. It's hard to find the strength. But we must.
Actions are felt more than fear.
Don't give into fear.

"For the moment, the Democratic Party remains in disarray." 😂😂😂 It's not disarray in the moment, it's decades of negligence!
