Grace is a commodity I no longer have. I spent my whole life living like a “good girl” the way my parents and the Catholic church ordered me to do. I have no head space for it anymore. I admire your capacity for grace.
I agree with Michael from what I can see that trump does want the bright shiny things he wants. I also think that he has handlers who want something too and are using trump for that.
They want to destroy democracy and ignore the Constitution. And further, the project 2025 gang desire a white christian male dominated country. Therefore, women, BIPOC, and non-hetero people will all be lesser.
Michael, I've heard you say numerous times that you know Trump really well, and I agree that 15 years with him would result in you knowing who he was. I want to ask you to look at him, really look, listen, and think about what he has done and is doing. He isn't the same as he was 4 or 8 years ago. It seems to many of us that he is not smart - otherwise he'd have made a better strategy for his kingship. I think, truly, you may not know who or what the hell he is today. I still love your show!
I am trying my best to get people inside and outside of the party to understand this discussion. So many people are really exploring democratic organizations,. If we behave in any angry and accusatory way we have no chance of undoing any of this in 2026. The goal is to understand their issues and not ours, and stop educating people or blaming them. It is hard enough to get volunteers to understand that, let alone getting the so called liberal elite to get off their pedestals.
In trump’s first term the barrage of lies had the positive effect of weaning people away from the illogical idea of “my truth, your truth.” Now blatant lawlessness is giving many of us an appreciation and a hunger for justice. Absolute truth and righteous judgment have not been popular concepts for decades. But in-your-face evil is elevating what seemed old fashioned into necessity for those who value the common good.
I v. much appreciate Michael Cohen's takes on things--and thanks for this forum for illuminating them. Really. Thanks. At the same time, it's exhausting. I do understand that Michael Cohen's teeth were banging against one another, chattering out of his head, as he was incarcerated for (not for being a fixer, but for) trying to come to the Light. And believe me, I have NO idea how to judge that or him. But Anand, could you consider talking to us, some time, about "What you hope M. Cohen may help us understand"--what your goals are, for this. Maybe I've missed it, so far. My time is limited, so I'm totally flawed in terms of claiming anything comprehensive in my understanding. Still. Michael Cohen, trying to come to terms with his perfidy, CERTAINLY needs an apologist. Maybe that's you, Anand? Not sure.

A nosedive into the Atlantic Ocean with the Prez and his cabinet on board of the Flying Pig would be the best gift Qatar could give the US‼️
We knew they were willing to be grifted when they elected a convicted criminal and expert in bankruptcy to run the country.
I will never forgive Maga voters never.

Definity a gold plated rung of Hell.

This plane will not have the sophisticated defense systems in place already on Air Force One.
Instead it's likely to have hidden cameras and listening devices.
a surveillance Trojan Horse…
also such a good point, our leader, such as he is , putting himself at the mercy of this leader. Ugh.
Hahahahahaha. Love it 'your hair is a gift from Quatar'
The Qatari plane was f-ing crazy. Happy Mother's Day.
Horrifying.
