Always love to hear from Maurice Mitchell, thank you for organizing! I especially loved the frame 'who you're fighting for + who you're fighting against' - the second part is so key, and in my view one of many things that separates WFP from the Dem establishment. Would love to see The Ink speak to Astra Taylor from Debt Collective - another amazing group of excellent, consistent communicators and organizers delivering meaningful change.

One of the things I find really disturbing in my experience is that when you really push people as to why they don't want to vote against policies that benefit the wealthy is that they say, "Well if I ever get that much money, I don't want to pay more for other people". In other words, they want to be able to treat those below them on the income scale the same way they've been treated. We have to change that attitude.

It was hard for me to find what WFP was doing in Seattle/WA State which, granted, is dominated by Dem party. I was once a supporter and on the email list but watched it fade away except in South King county. With Jayapal I see a higher presence now (Face Book) for which I am grateful. The Duopoly needs to end

What a refreshing antidote to the Ezra Klein pablum that seems to be capturing the conversation right now. Maurice Mitchell nailed so many things: the distinction between believing politicians and agreeing with their positions, the total capitulation by not just electeds but business and much of the civil sector to the neoliberal project, and the importance of clear, simple messaging. Thank you for doing this interview and I hope we can see more from him.

Maurice Mitchell just provided the clearest message I have heard about why Trump won. He is so damned smart. Thank you for having him on.

Much better interview than Wes Moore! This guy gets it and love his messaging. I hope you have him on a lot more often as he speaks for me and my peers. I appreciate him calling out the neoliberal side of democratic party.

the moderator stepped on most of Maurice's comments resulting in a very disjointed conversation that didn't achieve what it promised

Ditto what others have posted. Maurice Mitchell has a clear-headed view of the way out of the mess we're in now and what "the people" are looking for.
