I am interested in healing and have had a recent experience with a men's group I facilitate where the men agreed, with a bunch of upfront preparation, to meet with 3 women who had been sexually abused in childhood, to LISTEN to their stories. It was an effort on both fronts, with the 3 women, and the 7 men, to get well enough prepared in advance of the exchange. I have a lot of information, now, about what is needed to create a compassionate and healing experience between men and women, but the intention has to shift OFF "power" onto reaching for wholeness and healing on everyone's part. So I am curious about how to proceed with that, all things considered. Where politics are concerned, the starting point is power... and that is what we are all experiencing. It is unfortunate.... Money may be the essential problem.... But I also found SHAME to be a fairly huge blockade too....

I just read the statement of Delores Huerta regarding her abuse by Caesar Chavez. She said she was silent to promote and protect the farm labor movement. She is in her nineties but spoke out after the NYT article. I am saddened by by the victims of all abuse, including those at the hands of Chavez and Epstein. I am heartened by the reporting of Julie Brown, NYT and those in Congress who want to know the truth. What does Pam Bondi really know? Another bystander or enabler?

Anand I've been an admirer of your writing for a long time. Is the Epstein Class a result of Capitalism, with it's out of control power, money, and the exploitation of girls and women being just part of the deep rot created by what has become an incredibly corrupt system? I'm asking because I have worked in places that would be defined as socialist where I have seen the same exploitive, corrupt behaviors. I think about the Pasolini film, Salo about the rich fascists in Italy who kidnapped the towns children taking them to a castle to sexually abuse and torture them. What is going on here? Is it just the power? Are humans (especially men) just so fraught that with power over others comes horrible exploitation? Sorry to have gone so dark on this one.

There are 2 Michaels who could be quite helpful: Cohen and Wolff. Why not question them?

Where is Fergie? Who is giving Ghislaine special treatment? What about the Barr father & son? When in the sequence of events did Pam Bondi get hired? Are cadaver dogs still at Zorro? So many questions, so little time.

Many government employees and perhaps others were assigned to scrub the Epstein files. Why have they not been subpoenaed?

Thanks for doing this! My qu: How might those of us who are neither famous nor powerful best leverage our indignation to bring about a culture change? (Joining you now live, if the website lets me in.)

what are the chances documents in the Epstein files are being disappeared? Is there any mechanism in place to safeguard them, given the attitude of the administration towards classified materials at Mar-a-Lago?

..and will Bill Barr testify under oath about why he visited Epstein very shortly before his death more than once? what were his conversations with Trump about Epstein?

What can we expect from the closed door meeting with Bondi in April?

How can we honestly set the Congress on fire to end our war in Iran with genuine Epstein info?

Someone named Spence was doing the same thing before Epstein, according to Sarah Kendzior’s book, The Knew. He committed “suicide” with 2 bullets to his head. This begs the question, who has taken Epstein’s place and who is covering for that person now? The FBI? How deep and long is this structure of abuse and money laundering?

Ellen Harrison's avatar

The FBI has covered this up for decades, but why?? Why is no one questioning their decisions? Barr had influence to cover up. Will someone subpoena them?

Now that the misogyny and entitlement of the Epstein class have been laid bare, what comes next? Is there a genuine moral reckoning? Or should we assume that the structures and systems propping up this cohort will simply endure? Perhaps the real lesson these men take away isn't to reform their behavior and attitudes — but merely to encrypt their communications.

highlighting this from #MeToo founder Tarana Burke, which I think is helpful in this discussion https://time.com/article/2026/03/16/what-america-gets-wrong-about-jeffrey-epstein/ "When abuse happens at the highest levels of business and politics, the damage runs deep: survivors are re-traumatized, institutions lose credibility, and public trust erodes. The Epstein scandal illuminated the lengths to which power protects itself."

Your series is terrific and really eye-opening. It provides answers to crucial questions about "the Epstein class" that I would have never thought to ask. What I find myself wondering though is if in the emails there is incontrovertible--or at least very strong--evidence of the kinds of wrongdoing that Epstein was once convicted of and for which he was due to stand trial.
