Great interview, Anand!

'The Epstein Class'...

connecting the dots with surgical precision, as only you can do.

Bravo!

Anand, yours is the best analysis out there of how this shit happened/happens. As I think I mentioned, when I was an editor at HBR, I knew people who hobbnobbed with Epstein — an across-the-street neighbor, a former client of mine, a friend of mine, academics, business people and others. Just the other day the name of another former client of mine surfaced in the files.

A lot of these folks were speakers/attendees at high-falutin’ conferences like TED, etc. The people who can afford to go to/speak at those conferences are all part of that gigantic web, and a lot of them are being Scarlet-Lettered now, even if they had very little to do with Epstein himself. They are not all evil by any means, but your commentary says a whole lot about that Epstein class itself. (A lot of them were seduced by Epstein’s PR rehabilitation campaign, as you say, and plugged their eyes and ears to what he was convicted of.)

You have uncanny insight, Anand. This whole thing exposes just what you so eloquently express: the elite class's indifference to, and contempt for, the suffering of THEIR victims. They are like the group-think gaggle of little boys delighting in the writhing-in-pain frog whose legs they have just removed.

Malignant narcissism, a severe form of personality pathology combining Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) with antisocial behavior, sadism, and paranoia, has a significant, often destructive, effect on society. Although NPD affects a small percentage of the population, its impact is amplified because each narcissist may abuse multiple people. Estimates suggest that if 6% of the U.S. population has NPD, and each abuses just five people, the behavior affects over 97 million people in the U.S. alone.

Ha Mika’s closing comment was funny and true! But we need the wisdom you are sharing, Anand, as difficult as it is to hear. Democrats cannot take their foot off the Epstein pedal no matter the cost. Epstein is Trump’s Achilles Heel. Remember how great Michael Jackson was? Held in the highest regard…until he became He whose Name Shall Not Be Mentioned. No one tolerates Pedophilia. DOJ has to be sued for the redactions, Trump’s behind those backed out sections.

Regina Islas's avatar

On the contrary-there is plenty of ‘tolerance’ for pedophilia-it’s on display right now.

Again, Anand describes w precision and clarity, the Epstein class and why we all (American citizens who want to live in a democracy) need to understand which policy creators, are involved.

I am so happy to see you keep sharing the truth about the Epstein Class.

All the emails, all the documents, really do reveal the network connections of a class and its workings. This should be such a damning indictment of the entitlement that people in the class, and mostly white men, feel. The entitlement to wealth but also to women's bodies, institutional backing, and blind support from those in the class.

Spot on Anand. Thank you for your clarity and truth.

"There's an Epstein class, and you ain't in it"---Thinking about this makes me wonder what creates this class. For example, if I had the wealth, power, prestige, whatever that members of the Epstein class have, would I be as depraved? Could it be environment? Family background and history? Genetics? Brain disorders? How did our society produce so many anti-social, sadistic monsters? Would we all be monsters if we had the same stuff? If we all were taught that we are above the law, entitled, superior, better than all the rest?

Earlier I wrote about momdani’s family connections to Epstein. On one of the ink’s Epstein posts, but ai can’t find it now.

Apparently some photos with his family and Epstein are verified AI, but I’m still looking for reputable proof that his mother was or was not involved with Epstein.

I posted hastily, sorry.
