Bravo Anand!! Well expressed. It’s time for all of us to get out of the defensive crouch and face the challenge with JOY. Man, I’m loving this moment

Yes!!This!!

Say it to my face... yes, THIS is what has been missing.

Thank you!

And yes, this is an emotional reaction, but it strikes a chord with grounding in truth and reason, in all of us.

"You've got to make people feel things."

But not just anger and frustration. Kamala Harris has tapped into the joy of working together to create the future we envision.

Please listen scientists - this also goes for the Climate Crisis.

Emotion is the oil that smooths the way. Joy binds us together to do the hard work.

Art and Music energizes us to work beyond expectations - to get it done.

I loved when Anand made the connection that the rev doesn’t email his sermon to his followers. That you have to make people feel in the moment.

I’ve been watching Anand on Morning Joe for years now. This moment feels like the movement he’s been talking about.

And on that comment about the earrings….watch Kamala make another connection from “Isn’t this fun?” To….as she removes her earrings….”Seriously folks, I want you to hear me and hear me clearly about this point/distinction I’m making….” Her connection is wholly embodied and we feel heard!

Anand, I have followed presidential elections since Truman vs Dewey and my theory akin to your comment that presidential elections are determined by emotions is in part true. My observation is that presidential elections are decided not by the party's bases but by all the "undecided" misinformed out of touch voters. who will vote for the candidate they like better, and can relate to. Essentially presidential elections are beauty contests. If my observation is true this election is not competitive. If you consider that Kamala represents essentially the same thing Biden did. The facts, policies, the accomplishments are all the same. Biden looked like a loser and Kamala is winning. A beauty contest literally and figuratively.

In the past week Kamala Harris has used two phrases that I have said often. First she said:"We are not going back there". Most of us have said that after a bad meal at a restaurant or visit to a toxic person's house. As a 82 year old retired Atlanta Realtor (for 32 years); I have said: "If you are going to say it, say it to my face". That one brings back many occasions when it was necessary to defend a position or diffuse a bully. It is a powerful statement! Regardless of your age, position in life or your political party; one can relate to that. Kamala gets it; and we get her.

People don’t care about what you say or do, they care about how you make them feel! The joy is palpable, she is making me feel happy and at ease for the 1st time since 2008. She should borrow Pharrell’s cool theme song “JOY” that he created for the roll out of first 2023 LVMH men’s fashion show in Paris! (Culture) … 90% emotion… I want to be moved…. move me!!! … recently heard the JOY song played at the Olympics in one of their ads. https://youtu.be/pWxDU0y5Awk?si=ntHxo-YbWHDLfPsG
