I'm waiting for Mike Lindell to start hawking bits and pieces of the "genuine" East Wing on Home Shopping Network.

I naively thought there would have been some salvage operation before actual demo. If only to sell things off. But to see the trackhoe tearing up beautiful old windows and copper downspouts is an outrage. And don't even get me started on the killing of trees. Special place in hell for that life form who ordered all this.

Trump himself will be hawking bits---genuine or not---the next chance he gets---you watch. Anyone who obviously can't dance and who needs a 90,00 square foot ballroom (a football field is 57,600) is trying to compensate for a lot of inadequacy in the balls department. Plus, he'll probably need a golden golf cart to navigate the distances.

Funny you mention a football field -- I also looked that square footage up just to horrify myself even further. I can't imagine having to cook, serve, clear, and clean up after 2000 people. How often will this space be used? Will they charge guests or is "entertainment" in the federal budget? They'll need lots of golf carts (but only one gold one).

Somehow I guess we know that a football field is just such a known quantity. For anyone who's had remodeling done, the likelihood that this monstrosity will be completed by the end of his term is pretty remote. On the other awful hand, he probably doesn't plan to leave at the end of his term.

Sorry for leaving of the "0" in 90,000---I'm sure it will be obvious to everyone what I meant but sometimes it would be nice to have the option to correct my mistakes in these comment sections. I just have to get out all of this pent-up fury in a rush, you know?

OK…but just to be clear…the Romans who were the ‘upper crust’ of that society until it ended (badly) had large ‘open’ areas in the middle of their homes. So, not such a quirky idea to have a ‘retractable’ roof for the non-rainy days. The companies selling sunscreen will love you for it!!

Thanks for the sarcasm…and BTW I need a ‘funeral’ for the HISTORIC TREES Trump had cut down and discarded like yesterday’s salad! He is a classless shark…swimming…eating…swimming…eating…looking around with those ‘dead eyes’…swimming…eating…

It’s not easy to laugh and be nauseated at the same time- yet nothing is easy or makes sense right now. Thank you for the contribution to the laugh aspect to my daily equation!

I am more than appalled that this travesty has been allowed to happen at the Peoples' House.

Blurghhhh I literally woke up and right away felt a lot of grief due to the disregard of what belongs to the people. Had to say, “It’s just a building”, but it’s also a symbol of everything happening

Vindictive Don who has an IQ of Zero ( and they said it couldn’t be done) is in his diaper stage again. Acting like the BIG baby he is…. Decided (code word for lying even more) to expand the demolition just to get the anger level of Americans past the boiling point!!! I’m not biting. When I look a the damage he has already done to our laws, to our Constitution, to our citizenry, to valued legal immigrants, to our protected lands, to our private individual confidential information and to our global reputation of this nation, to our future …

the WH demolition is of such little consequence. Let it go!! Concentrate instead on supporting Democrats and Independents to win all the red friggin seats in Congress with a Big Beautiful Blue wave of success. This is the fight you snd I need to win. This and tearing down the Supreme Court’s job for LIFE. NO ONE should have a guaranteed job for life. Let’s start pulling the rugs out from under this corrupt Administration!!! THAT will make you feel better. Whether you contact Indivisible, your local government, your folks in Congress… join the fight!! WE NEED YOU !! WE can do it!!

"And if I laugh at any mortal thing, 'tis that I may not weep." -- Lord Byron

We need to keep seeing the buffoons and laughing -- what could be funnier than a photo of Stephen Miller? Or, try turning off the sound while the White House Butcher is speaking.

In the Northeast, where snowstorms in October aren’t unusual, we know never to start home renovations after Labor Day. Are they really going to get the roof on this monstrosity in the next few weeks? The project timing is definitely weird, suspicious and wrong.

Thank you for the humor...eventhough it IS sad! I was wondering why there aren't thousands of people surrounding the white house, not allowing the bulldozers through...like they do for old, sacred trees. I wish the Whitehouse was in portland,OR, where I live. WE would surrounding it...obstructing the bulldozers 😁
