Interesting. In the bigger “we” (Great thought!) will there be leaders? Self anointed. Or Plato,? whose reason was severely capped with enlightened Princes, disdain for democracy, love for Sparta and a xenophobia deeper than Xenophon?
Fiona Hill’s book There’s Nothing for You Here plainly explained how fear and anger caused by neglect of rural or outdated employers such as coal or manufacturing shipped out of country, leave open wounds for hate and suspicion to fester.
I’ve followed Anand’s writings for a bit now and I can attest to his consistency, perspective, analysis, humanity, humility and brilliance in all he creates. Thank you sir.
Thank you both for two brilliant perspectives. I felt compelled to add another comment that hopefully adds to the line of efforts to actually bring the United States to the prosperity all should experience and improve/sustain our global leadership. Understanding fiat currency and how the Federal Government does not need taxes or borrow money to spend. I highly recommend Warren Moseler's,https://moslereconomics.com/#:~:text=The%207%20Deadly%20Innocent%20Frauds%20of%20Economic%20Policy%20%2D%20PDF. And you can not go wrong listening/reading Stephanie Kelton's, The Deficit Myth. By understanding fiat currency, the Federal Government's only constraint to spend remains on "resources" not money. The Federal Governments not reliant on people to pay taxes but proper taxation would close today's current wage gap substantially. Congress, through fiscal policy, like the Infrastructure Act spends money into existence to rebuild our deteriorating national infrastructure. States do not have this ability. Only the Federal Government that holds a monopoly on US currency, through fiscal policy directs the Treasury to spend money into existence. Do not allow politicians off the hook by the question "how are you going to fund programs." The Federal Government through fiscal policy remains the answer! I invite all to this discourse but especially, Maurice and Dorian and geopolitical heroes, Peter Zeihan and George Friedman. Thank you.
Brilliant. What we’ve all been missing is a Vision. Anand has one. Beautiful and worth following. Run for something!!!
