This is a "hair on fire" moment for Americans. RFK Jr and his band of merry rejectors of modern science are threatening the health of every man, woman, and child in this country. Public health is sometimes incompatible with individual autonomy: Typhoid Mary is an iconic representation of this collision. But in this case our world-class health institutions are being destroyed from within, abandoning decades of rigorous research and trusted expertise.

My Arizona Indivisible group, Civic Engagement Beyond Voting, in conjunction with Arizona Families for Vaccines, has prepared a Toolkit to help people contact public officials and take action to protect vaccines: https://bit.ly/FEDVaccineToolkit. We welcome input.

Again, 100% predictable to anybody who's been paying attention. I really am beginning to suspect that many people on both sides of the aisle actually want this turn of events because there is so little push back happening, it's just hard to believe.

There is so little push back on so many wrongs just now. I doubt any thinking individual believes RFK's claptrap. We could use a little more 'crazy' on our side. I have decided to support Gavin Newsome's crazy on redistricting, for example. Bullies only speak one language. Civility will not move these nuts.

Get up, stand up, & #Resist the authoritarian war on our health & democracy. #Vote Blue!

Top CDC officials quit & leave dire warnings about the Trump admin's war on science & health:

“For the good of the nation and the world, the science at CDC should never be censored or subject to political pauses or interpretations. Vaccines save lives—this is an indisputable well-established scientific fact” Dr Houry wrote adding that “the overstating of risks and the rise of misinformation have cost lives” citing a spike in measles as well as the August 8 shooting at the CDC’s Atlanta headquarters.

Dr. Daskalakis wrote in his resignation letter: “I am unable to serve in an environment that treats CDC as a tool to generate policies and materials that do not reflect scientific reality and are designed to hurt rather than to improve the public’s health...Eugenics plays prominently in the rhetoric being generated and is derivative of a legacy that good medicine and science should continue to shun.”

Horrifying. Kennedy is a complete disaster without a hint of integrity Time will tell whether enough Republicans in Congress will become alarmed and will engage in impeachment proceedings.
