I watched the first hour of Morning Joe. While I realize the stock market and the extreme weather causing deaths are most noteworthy not a mention of the mass Hands Off protests over the weekend. So at 7am I tuned into CNN. Same thing. Not so much as a mention. How can they justify ignoring our movement?
Just like that. I stopped livestreaming services, except for PBS. Listen to the news free on TuneIn (On Roku) They MSNBC and CNN do not represent our interests. Use the money you save to support independent Journaists, like Anand who speak truth to power
"One thing that I can tell you, as the Treasury secretary, what I've been very impressed with is the market infrastructure, that we had record volume on Friday and everything is working very smoothly.
This is beyond idiotic as are the comments from the Trump puppets rolled out over the weekend to address the stock market pandemonium.
I - no doubt like many here - saw some retirement savings fade away and expect more of the same until Trump is stopped. The question, of course, is will he be stopped soon enough?
the fight must continue. Protest. Boycott. Call your elected "leaders". Don't let up.
We need the ACLU to file a wrongful death suit against Kennedy and POTUS on behalf of the children who died of measles because they weren’t vaccinated.

Re: rallies and protests. I think it’s really important to promote ongoing noise between rallies such as “overpass hour”. We have an ongoing overpass hour every Saturday. How can we provide a site, like the Tesla Takedown site that lets folks know where and when these are happening. Also, please keep posting reminders about the ongoing tesla takedowns. And if musk leaves DOGE at the end of his “term” that doesn’t really mean anything is going to change so the pressure needs to keep up somehow. Lastly, a friend of mine lives in a senior apartment complex. They took to the sidewalk outside their complex on Saturday. Next protest needs to get people out—meet them where they are so to speak—wherever they may be.
Yesterday I happened to be listening to my audible of A Paradise Built in Hell by the incomparable Rebecca Solnit. In the day's chapters, which related to the WWII bombings of London and Germany, I learned how those doing the bombing expected, following the "wisdom" of the times, that the result on the affected populations would be demoralization, helplessness, even mental breakdown. Thereby they would become easier to conquer. The actual result, consistent with the known ways that communities respond in the face of natural and man-made disasters, was that the survivors discovered increased strength, resilience, and even joy through solidarity with each other, mutual assistance, and the erasure of old divisions of class and race.
It occurred to me that this parallels what is happening today. The current administration and their allies are in effect purposefully making war against not only the American population but most of the world, indiscriminately dropping economic bombs to harm as many as possible, in the expectation that we will become weak, demoralized, and at each other's throats, thereby becoming more easily bent to their plans to expand their own wealth and power.
They have not studied their history carefully enough. We the people are responding just as people everywhere do in the face of disaster, with courage, concern for each other, creativity, and civic engagement. Let us nurture that spirit through victory, and carry it forward as we confront the ever-building environmental disaster.

Not a word on ABC national news Sunday evening.
I wonder if the news outlets have decided that covering the protests isn't worth the pushback or attacks they might receive from Trump for doing so?
This is a song of resistance I wrote recently
Living Free
There's a group of people making money selling stress
They are trying to make the world a mess
They can't scare us off with their tactics and their lies
Waiting for the others to see through their disguise
We're living free, living free
Some people think they have to yell and shout their views
they think that's the way to get their message through
But I ain't going to sign on to their message filled with hate
Even if they say it's from the holy pearly gates
We're living free, living free
People everywhere they want to be free
Why don't you leave and let the people be
Some say I'm lazy cause I sit beneath a tree
But I don't bother no one and I like to let things be
Maybe you should find a tree and find a place to sit
Cause you know buddy this nonsense has to quit
We're living free, living free
You can pass rules but it's time that you see
You can't stop the people being free
We're living free, living free
Living free, living free, living free

What you said in this poetry, is how I feel… thank you 🥹
Marching is not what democracy looks like (voting, every election, local, state and federal)
So sick of "resistance" after the fact (elections).. People get what they deserve..
My take on what comes after the April 5 #HandsOff protests:

Thanks! I will try and attend the Kill the Cuts Protest in Philly. The protests must be sustained.
