How does one live in this time? It has been on so many of our minds since the fall of 2024, and what has begun to feel like the fall of an empire. How do you live? How do you fight, survive, take care of those you love, join up, retreat, make work, do your art, and on and on and on? It has been a preoccupation of this newsletter, something we have tried to think through together as a community.

This week, I heard an answer to that question that moved me, and I wanted to share it with you in this community. I really do think of us as a community, as evidenced by all the incredible sharing of resources and skills and talents this week in the chat. I appreciate the way, together, we are trying to figure out this time and all of our obligations in it.
