The reason we like it is that it gets to something that not a lot of us have fully processed. One of the great, unlikely plot twists of the recent era is that Joe Biden, historically moderate senator turned president of the United States, has become increasingly committed to the idea of dismantling the neoliberal consensus.

His tariffs on Chinese electrical vehicle imports in recent days are only one example of a Democratic Party finally moving on from the 1990s, world-is-flat, end-of-history, Davos, globalization-fetishizing hive mind.
