My grandfather died last week in Delhi, at 101. This is my eulogy. It's about what he suffered and what he made, about what history steals from us and what it never can
Anand how wonderful. The kind of love and admiration you feel for him will always be a touchstone and guide. How beautiful to have had this essential relationship and how beautifully you’ve written about it. I’m a nana to my three-year-old grandson. It’s a role I cherish and am surprised each day by the depth of my love.
What a beautiful tribute! His spirit definitely speaks through and with yours as well! Thank you for sharing your love and admiration for such an amazing person. How lucky you are to have known him and be part of his family.
Such a lovely tribute so full of love. It warmed my heart. I identify, since I am the mother of eight, the grandmother of fifteen and the great grandmother of sixteen. Your grandfather and I are very blessed.
Thank you Anand. This is so beautifully written and brought tears to my eyes. How wonderful that you had such a long and full relationship with him. It inspires me to try to be a better grandparent.
Ahhh, a legacy you seem to carry so brightly. It's an honor to share in the spheres of curiosities you have inherited and shape. So sorry for your loss.
A live well lived!! Condolences to your family with grace and peace for the blessings his life provided.
Every memory you articulated about Your Nanu reminded me of my deceased uncles and brother. Isn’t it amazing that memories can be similar across cultures and generations!!Be strong and courageous!! Live on with his love and wisdom in your soul.

Very beautiful, Anand. Your love for Nanu shines through. His body has left but his spirit still inspires you and uplifts others. He and his generation had to endure terrible times but in your photos his smile shines through. Let us all be so.
