Join me live right here at 12:30 p.m. for a conversation with two writers whose books take on the same fundamental question:
What happens when people and institutions fold? When accommodation and collaboration and looking the other way become the norm, not the exception?
It will be a conversation in two acts. At 12:30 p.m. Eastern, Jacob Weisberg will join me to discuss Profiles in Cowardice, his new book about capitulation under Trump. Then at 1 p.m., Robert P. Jones will join me to talk about Backslide, his new book about White Christianity’s devotion to Trump, enabling of authoritarianism, and, in Jones’ view, commitment of “apostasy.”
Two writers, two books, two acts, and a common underlying question: Can democracy, a system of citizens standing up, endure without spines?
Join us right here at 12:30 p.m. live.
And tell me what questions you have for Jacob Weisberg and Robert Jones.
Sounds very intriguing and very informative. Thank you for hosting these conversations.
Please make as much of this content Free when possible, valuable information at this site and I’m guessing in these books
