I watched the conversation on Morning Joe, and loved Anand's comments. There can be no doubt that weaponizing fear is one of Trump's "talents" but when Joe says that there is legitimacy to deploying the national guard to D.C., that is furthering the distraction from this lawless, corrupt regime.
He sure can be, although he does have the real experience of serving in congress which most commentators don't have. He is not a great interviewer. I keep whispering to the TV, "Joe, be quiet and let your guests talk!!"
Joe can retire and find a place next to djt in FL. He's ineffectual and his time is over as a commentator. When Anand is trying to converse with him, and the host is trying to silence his guest by talking over them, this is a really bad look isn't it?

I stopped watching Morning Joe last November after they went to MaraLago and drank Trumps coolaid. I won't give them my time and keep hoping that they get cancelled. Worst ever talking heads. This gave me goosebumps AND made me want to cry. Amen to cities that welcome people from places that don’t want them. I feel safer in my city, NYC, than I do in the rest of the country. Is there crime? Yes. Is there human suffering out there in the street because people don’t have help that they need and because the 1% is and has been milking the people and the governments to take away safety nets? Yes. Fox News has been falsely hawking “crime” since their inception and I would think it’s probably one of the oldest tricks in the book. But finally, what’s happening in DC is not even about crime. What is their solution for people who are addicted or living on the street? Jail? Not sure, because it's like the Palestinians- this idea of sweeping people off to....somewhere else.
