Thank you for publicizing Senator Padilla's message and plight, Anand. I have never been prouder of my representatives than I am now. They haven't always supported us in the way I'd like, but in light of Trump's fascist oppression of immigrants they've been superb. Thank you, Senators Padilla and Schiff, and thank you, Governor Newsom.

Call John Thune’s office press 3 and speak to a rep to say that he and the entire Senate as an institution needs to demand an apology from Noem and come out in solidarity with Senator Padilla for having a rightful place to attend and ask questions at media briefings of the US Govt. 202-224-2321

I called and his line has been busy for hours, I think they took the phone off the hook from hopefully thousands of calls. I will try again tomorrow.

The Senator’s stark warning should be heeded by all Americans. Noem, with her post-event statement: “Noem said Padilla did not ask for a meeting with her, and she criticized his interruption. “I think everybody in America would agree that that was inappropriate,” is way the hell off base. I can’t think of no one I know who would agree with her and unfortunately those who will are no doubt MAGA. What is this BS about a meeting? It was a press conference.

Noem is a danger to our country like many in the current administration. The Republicans who do not speak out against this abominable behavior are complicit.

The situation is beyond distressing, and no one is safe. The reality that authoritarianism is fully present is inescapable. My feelings are manifold. I am sad, horrified, terrified, and yet I persist in believing we can fight this monster and win. But it is going to be brutally hard.

Trump and his whole cabinet are American Nazis and every member of the Senate or House who votes in favor of reconciliation bill to give ICE enough money to imprison 100,000 people are collaborating in the construction of American concentration camps run by private companies paid with our taxes . What will it take to put aside your political party affiliations and join the fight against a criminal tyrant and his cabinet of sick ignorant incompetent fools?

OMG … I have no words … We all know what’s coming (unless we bury our heads or wear blinders) … It’s in all the history books. I’m afraid of what’s coming. I’m afraid for the children who will grow up in & be influenced by this regime. “Project 2025” isn’t coming to America … It’s already here!

No mistake that of their first targeted elected officials the NJ mayor and Congresswoman are black and the CA Senator is Latino.
