Hello from the eye of a storm of my own making. For years, I wait for this moment of book birthing with great excitement. And then it’s here, and it is the most moving thing to have your work meet readers, and it is also a whirlwind. I don’t know where I am right now, even though today I’m home. But I’m happy to have you in my corner. I have met SO MANY of you along the tour already. It has been so wonderful to turn an online relationship into actual meet-ups.
Today, just a few fragments, in keeping with the fragmented self sending this note. First, some photos. Then, a couple of events where we might meet, including tonight. And, finally, my just-dropped interview with the brilliant Tonya Mosley at Fresh Air.
Some photos from the road (and home):

And a very special interview I got to do with the NPR show Fresh Air, with the brilliant Tonya Mosley. The episode just dropped, and I wanted you to hear it first.
Here it is, in whatever you preferred format is, or here via the NPR website:
Thank you for being part of this community. You have lifted my spirits during the most grueling days of tour; you have made this book what it is. I’m eager to get back to regular life and writing soon, but, for now, thank you for all of your support.

Come to Boulder Colorado!! I bet Henry Bier at Boulder Book Store would
host you. I am a retailer who would love to have you but I don't think a toy
store is the best venue for you! Kind Regards, Lynne Milot
You have lifted and continue to lift my spirits. That is an incredible gift to me. I listened just a few days ago to your conversation with Robert P. Jones - specifically about Man in the Mirror. Stunning, powerful, inspiring. Then I listened to your interview with Chris Hayes - the interviews are like the chapters in the book - each show a different side of how we, as individuals, "manage" "engage" "experience" the world. Your friend who suggested you come back to writing about the questions that are all about the America we live in, is truly a best friend who knows your gift and wants you to use it and continue to share it. Thank you, Anand.
